o Change of AddressMake a moving checklist of and then inform the relevant authorities of change of address. o Begin to PackStart your Inventory Moving Checklist of all items to pack. (Ask the moving company for a copy of their Inventory List. This will help ensure that your information correlates on the day of the move. Also refer to your moving checklist of the previous month.) Begin packing items that won’t be used before the move. Try to take pictures or video tape your belongings. Record serial numbers of electronic equipment. o New Home ServicesTry to arrange for as many services as possible in your new home eg digital tv, phone number. o Hire a Moving CompanyCall the moving company to reserve them for the day of the move. Rope in volunteers to help on the day of the move. o Travel ArrangementsMake sure you know your destination address and make arrangements to get there. Eg. Air tickets, rail tickets, etc. o Real EstateCheck that all the house documents are in order for the old and new house. If renting out the old house, check with the bank that your mortgage covers letting. Arrange for a letting agent or start advertising the property yourself. o Transfer MembershipsSee Change of Address. Please remember, the site is a guideline to better organisation.
